本課程以日本名城為主軸，結合歷史與文化視角，探討自戰國時代至戰後日本的歷史發展。透過介紹多座具代表性的城池，分析其興建背景、政治意義與建築特色，並藉由城池與歷史人物之互動，協助學生理解日本近代以來的歷史脈絡。課程旨在培養學生對日本歷史、文化及文化資產保存議題的基礎認識，並提升其跨文化理解與批判思考能力。

This course focuses on Japanese castles as a central lens through which to examine the historical development of Japan from the Sengoku period to the postwar era. By introducing a number of representative castles, the course analyzes their historical backgrounds, political significance, and architectural features. Through the relationship between castles and historical figures, students will gain an understanding of modern Japanese historical trajectories. The course aims to develop a foundational knowledge of Japanese history, culture, and cultural heritage preservation, while enhancing students’ cross-cultural understanding and critical thinking skills.
