《聊齋誌異》是清代文人蒲松齡的鄉野奇譚改編創作集，書中內容除了靈異奇幻此類較為人所熟知的大宗外，更有不少以愛情為主題的篇章，集中體現了蒲氏對於人與人、人與妖、人與鬼之間各種畸戀糾葛的看法，其中頗多值得後人玩味思索之處。有鑑於現代人在崇尚愛情自由的同時，卻經常不知如何處理隨之而來的各種男女問題，因此本課程選擇《聊齋誌異》中以愛情為主題的故事作為主要授課與討論的內容，希望學生在閱讀這些奇幻愛情故事的同時，也能認真思考愛情的本質與真諦，並進一步發展出自己的愛情觀，從而對兩性關係、性別平權等議題有更為全面而健康的認識。
"Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio" is a collection of adaptations of country stories written by Pu Songling, a scholar from the Qing Dynasty. In addition to the well-known works such as supernatural and fantasy, the book also has many chapters with the theme of love, which embodies the spirit of love. Pu's views on the various deviant love entanglements between humans, humans and demons, humans and ghosts are quite worthy of consideration by future generations. In view of the fact that while modern people advocate the freedom of love, they often do not know how to deal with the various issues between men and women that come with it. Therefore, this course chooses the love-themed story in "Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio" as the main teaching and discussion content. It is hoped that while reading these fantasy love stories, students can also seriously think about the nature and true meaning of love, and further develop their own views on love, so as to have a more comprehensive and healthy understanding of gender relations, gender equality and other issues.
