This course is designed as an introductory course to operations/logistics management. The objective is to introduce fundamental concepts to students who are interested in operations/logistics management field. Topics covered in this course include: forecasting, product design, process and capacity planning, location and layout planning, job design, quality management, inventory management, production planning, supply chain management, etc.Advanced and state-of-art topics will be introduced as supplementary materials. Basic knowledge of probability/statistics and management science is recommended.
