本學科旨在有系統地介紹課程設計的重要概念及其受教育政策與環境的影響，並嘗試從討論與練習中，讓修課的學生自我探索，了解並應用課程設計的原理原則，進而培養其課程研究的能力。此外，藉由對當前我國中小學課程議題的討論，激發學生對課程問題的興趣，體認教育理念與實務在課程設計中所扮演的角色，以探索相關的研究議題，並培養課程設計的能力。
This course aims to introduce systematically main ideas and theories of curriculum reform, with special reference to interaction between education and external context and policies. Through discussion and literature review, students will be guided gradually to explore key issues and controversial debates in the field. In particular, the capability to investigate issues with academic rigor will be highlighted and their profession as researchers could be enhanced.
