This course provides full-time supervised clinical practicum training in clinical neuropsychology for master’s students in the Clinical Psychology Program. Students apply knowledge of neuropsychological assessment, psychopathology, cognitive or psychological intervention, and professional ethics in medical or other approved clinical settings. Training may include clinical interviewing, behavioral observation, medical record review, administration and interpretation of neuropsychological tests, case formulation, feedback, clinical documentation, report writing, interdisciplinary collaboration, case conferences, and supervision. Through direct practice and supervision, students develop competence in evaluating cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and functional changes associated with neurological, developmental, and psychiatric conditions. The course provides essential preparation for clinical psychology licensure and further professional training in clinical neuropsychology.
