This course prepares prospective secondary school English teachers with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for effective English language teaching. It introduces major approaches to TEFL, lesson planning, teaching materials, classroom management, language assessment, and instructional strategies for teaching grammar, vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Through lectures, readings, discussions, lesson planning, micro-teaching, and teaching demonstrations, students will develop the ability to design, implement, and reflect on effective English lessons while strengthening their professional competence as future English language teachers.

本課程旨在培育具備英語教學專業知能與教學實踐能力之中等學校英語師資。課程結合理論與實務，介紹英語教學的重要理念、教學方法、教材設計、課程規劃、班級經營與學習評量，並探討聽、說、讀、寫及文法與字彙等語言技能之教學策略。透過文獻閱讀、課堂討論、教案設計、微型教學及教學演示，培養學生規劃、實施與反思英語課程之能力，提升其專業素養與教學效能，奠定未來從事中等學校英語教學之基礎。
