In an era marked by globalization and the rise of network societies, community life is both connected to global dynamics and deeply rooted in local characteristics, making the revitalization of unique local cultures a key challenge in community building. This course will explore the concepts and practices of community learning, extending to related issues such as community building, community culture, local knowledge systems, and community revitalization. Topics include: community resources and community building, public participation in community colleges, local studies in community colleges, intergenerational learning in communities, the development of age-friendly communities, and the construction of learning communities.
