先講述藝術史方法，再依年代講授各時代重要之陶瓷器、青銅器、玉器、雕刻、書法和繪畫作品。敘述、闡釋、分析作品之前，先介紹各時代政治、經濟、文化和宗教背景。(The course begins with an introduction to art history methods, followed by a chronological discussion of important ceramics, bronzes, jades, sculptures, calligraphy and paintings from each era. Before narrating, explaining and analyzing the works, the political, economic, cultural and religious background of each era is introduced.)
