本課程為面向大學部學生所開設的歷史研究概論，其目的在於讓學生瞭解歷史與史學的性質、理論與研究方法。本課程共分為上下兩學期，本學期課程為上學期課程。本學期課程內容涵蓋歷史的研究對象、研究的時間與空間尺度、研究主題、歷史的製作過程、歷史的原因與意義，以及歷史知識的本質等議題。
This course is an introduction to history and historical research. Its purpose is to offer students a basic knowledge about the nature, theory and methods of history and historiography. This course is divided into two semesters, and this semester is the first one. During this semester, this course will cover the object of historical research, the scale of time and space, topics of historical research, the cause and meanings of history, and the nature of historical knowledge.
