中正大學課程大綱
Literature and Psychololgy文學與心理
一、課程概述
Literature has reflected the research interests of psychology since it became a scientific discipline in the late nineteenth century. In this course, we will examine works across various genres, historical periods, and media to understand not only how psychology has transformed storytelling but also how literature itself has critiqued psychology. Beginning with essays that highlight psychology’s historical tendency to link bodily evidence to the mind, we will focus particularly on how these texts represent the concept of “mind” and how psychological readings parallel the relationship between body and mind in the field of psychology. Course materials include critical essays, literary works, films, and television series.
