This course aims to help students develop skills for academic study. As an introductory course, it focuses on three approaches: expository, persuasive, and research-based composition. Students will learn to identify the purpose of each type of essay and develop appropriate argument strategies. The goal of the course is to help students build their own strategies and integrate different styles into their work.
