本課程以廣義的漢語語法（Syntax）為討論對象，所謂近代，概指宋元明清之時代範圍。課程內容依據以下進度進行：語法學理論介紹、近代漢語語法、漢語語法研究工具。教學方法上，以書報導讀、問題導向之討論為主，期待學生能透過討論與辯證，加強對近代漢語語法的認識，有助學生建立近代文學與經學文獻之研究基礎，提升發現問題的敏感度。課程期間會穿插語言學論文的寫作教學，課程最後會有專題論文的學生發表。對漢語語法探索有興趣，且對產出小論文具有動力的同學，歡迎選修。

This course examines Chinese grammar during the modern period, covering the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. The course will follow this sequence: an introduction to grammatical theories, a study of modern Chinese grammar, and an overview of research tools for grammatical analysis. Teaching methods include guided readings and problem-oriented discussions designed to deepen students’ understanding of modern Chinese grammar through dialogue and critical inquiry. The course aims to help students establish a solid foundation for research in modern literature and classical studies, while cultivating their sensitivity to linguistic problems. Instruction on linguistic essay writing will be integrated throughout the semester, culminating in a final presentation of a research paper.
