This course enhances students' understanding of horror fiction, a significant aspect of Western popular culture. We stress close reading, discussion, analysis, and communication, and students are required to explore texts linguistically, thematically, structurally, and psychologically. Grades are based on class participation (attendance, discussion, and quizzes, 70%), and oral reports (30%). Those who are absent 4 times or more will fail.
This is an all-English class. No languages other than English are allowed.
