This course is designed to develop students’ advanced English literacy through an integrated framework of reading, analysis, writing, and communication. Aiming to strengthen students’ ability to communicate effectively in English, the course introduces students to a broad range of global topics through news articles, training students to identify main ideas, analyze discourse structure, evaluate arguments, and critically assess information. Building on these analytical skills, the course systematically guides students toward producing structured written work with an emphasis on developing coherent, logical, and evidence-based argumentation. In addition, the course integrates discussion and presentation activities to strengthen students’ ability to express ideas clearly in spoken English. Upon completion of the course, students are expected to demonstrate the ability to communicate their ideas effectively in both written and spoken English.
