本課程旨在探討與理性和決策相關的概念及議題，其中主要爭論包含：人類的思考、推論、決策、道德行為、經濟行為是否為理性的？我們將以哲學思辨為主，並以心理學、經濟學、公共政策等經驗證據為輔，探討人類的理性能力與決策機制。期望同學們在修習本課程後，能夠對人類理性能力與推論決策有更深的認識，並將所學的知識運用到自身專業領域及公共議題的討論之上。

This course aims to explore concepts and issues related to rationality and decision-making. Key debates include whether human thinking, reasoning, decision-making, moral behavior, and economic behavior are rational. The course will primarily adopt a philosophical approach, supplemented by empirical evidence from psychology, economics, and public policy, to examine the nature of human rationality and decision-making mechanisms. By the end of the course, students are expected to gain a deeper understanding of human rational capacities and reasoning processes, and to apply this knowledge to their own fields of expertise as well as to discussions on public issues.
