This course develops students’ English communication skills through task-based and content-based learning. It aims to strengthen students’ core language skills and academic learning strategies while helping them use English to understand global issues and appreciate cultural diversity. Students develop their English reading, listening, speaking, and writing abilities through a variety of communicative tasks. The course emphasizes understanding and organizing information from English texts and audio materials, expressing ideas clearly and accurately in spoken and written English, and using appropriate language, style, voice, and communication strategies in different communicative contexts. By engaging in activities such as reading, listening, discussion, presentations, and writing, students build confidence and effectiveness in English communication while developing the language skills needed for university learning and global communication. This course corresponds to the B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
本課程採任務導向與內容導向教學，培養學生的英語溝通能力，並強化核心語言能力及學術學習技巧，協助學生運用英語理解全球議題並增進跨文化理解。課程透過多元的溝通任務，提升學生的英語閱讀、聽力、口說及寫作能力，著重於理解與整理英文閱讀及聽力資訊、以清楚且準確的英語表達想法，以及在不同溝通情境中適切運用語言、表達方式及溝通策略。學生將透過閱讀、聽力、討論、簡報及寫作等學習活動，提升英語溝通的自信與成效，並建立大學學習及國際溝通所需的核心英語能力。本課程程度對應歐洲共同語文參考架構（CEFR）B1 等級。
