本課程以我國少年事件處理法為核心，介紹少年司法制度之形成背景、基本理念及制度設計，並探討少年司法與成人刑事司法之差異、少年法之誕生與發展，以及各國少年司法制度之演進趨勢。課程將回顧我國少年事件處理法之立法沿革及歷次修法歷程，分析保護優先、自我健全成長、程序二分、全件移送及檢察官先議禁止等基本原則，並說明少年事件之調查、審理及處遇制度。
本課程亦將介紹少年概念之形成、少年權利保障、國際人權規範（如兒童權利公約）對我國少年司法之影響，並結合我國少年犯罪現況及近年修法方向，探討被害人保護、少年司法改革及新興少年犯罪等重要議題。期望學生透過法規及制度分析，建立完整之少年司法知識體系，並培養分析與批判少年法制之能力。

This course introduces the juvenile justice system in Taiwan, with a focus on the Juvenile Delinquency Act. It examines the historical development, fundamental principles, and institutional framework of juvenile justice, while comparing juvenile and adult criminal justice systems. Topics include the legislative evolution of juvenile law, procedures for juvenile investigations, adjudication, and treatment, as well as the principles of protection, due process, and rehabilitation. The course also explores the impact of international human rights standards, particularly the Convention on the Rights of the Child, on Taiwan's juvenile justice system. Through the study of legislation, judicial practice, and contemporary issues, students will develop the ability to analyze and critically evaluate juvenile justice policies and legal institutions.
