This course is an undergraduate-level course in international trade and open-economy macroeconomics. It focuses on the theoretical foundations of international economic interactions in an open economy setting. Topics include national income accounting and the balance of payments; exchange rate determination and foreign exchange markets; money and interest rates; short-run and long-run exchange rate dynamics; exchange rate regimes; and international monetary systems.
