Prerequisites:
This is an introductory course, intended for senior undergraduate and graduate students. The prerequisites are courses on computer programming, algorithms, and linear algebra.
Course Introduction:

Teach students who want to learn the basic concepts and state-of-the-art of multimedia information compression and related applications in information retrieval, including multimedia representation, clustering, product quantization, hashing, and cross-modal retrieval.
Learning Goals:
1. Learn how to formulate, experiment, and evaluate related methods when process
2. Learn core concepts and theories of information retrieval and search.
3. Learn how to solve problems by machine learning and multimedia techniques.
