中正大學課程大綱
Advance Machining Practice工場加工專題
一、課程概述
Prerequisites:
Students should have completed introductory courses in:
Engineering Drawing
Manufacturing Processes
Machine Shop Practice
CNC Machining Fundamentals
Basic knowledge of conventional lathes and milling machines is recommended.

Class Description:
This course provides students with fundamental knowledge and practical skills in CNC turning and 3-axis CNC milling operations. Students will learn machine structures, coordinate systems, tooling selection, workpiece setup, CNC programming using G-codes and M-codes, machining simulation, machine operation, and quality inspection. Practical exercises focus on machining real workpieces using CNC lathes and 3-axis machining centers. Students will develop the ability to independently perform machining operations while emphasizing safety, precision, efficiency, and industrial manufacturing practices.

Class Objective:
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Understand the structure and operation of CNC lathes and 3-axis CNC milling machines.
2. Read and interpret engineering drawings.
3. Develop CNC turning and milling programs using G-code and M-code.
4. Set work coordinate systems and tool offsets correctly.
5. Select appropriate cutting tools and machining parameters.
6. Operate CNC machines safely and efficiently.
7. Verify CNC programs through simulation.
8. Manufacture precision workpieces according to engineering specifications.
9. Inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments.
10. Solve common machining and programming problems encountered in industrial applications.
