為培養影像製作的知識與技術，本課程提供基礎的教材、主題與觀摩經典作品，讓同學通過實作學習。課程主題包含兩個面向：攝影與錄像。同學在學習攝製單張照片的基礎上，再發展製作影片的能力。修習完本課後，同學能掌握影像製作的基礎原理與技巧，銜接進階的製作課程與職業需要。

To develop basic understandings and techniques for photo and then video production, this course provides fundamental subjects, materials, and quality works which will be learned via intense practice. The subjects include two parts: photography and videography, meaning a student is expected to convert the single-picture shooting concepts into motion-picture making. After finishing this course, the students are knowledgable about visual production and shall be prepared for advanced training and career requirements.
