This course aims to prepare those who are interested in teaching English as a future career. Fundamental understandings of English teaching principles and approaches, including the Grammar Translation Method, Communicative Language Teaching, and Task-based Language Teaching will be introduced. Equipped with such knowledge, you will be guided to discuss and conduct teaching demos in class. We will also learn how to design lessons. By the end of the semester, you should be familiar with techniques and principles of English language teaching and be able to design and teach lessons targeting at elementary/junior high school students effectively.
