This course is to introduce the general knowledge of human language, including its nature and several grammatical aspects. In this semester, theoretical aspects of language, including syntax, morphology, phonetics, semantics, and phonology, will be discussed. With the basic knowledge of language, students can learn to appreciate the language they use every day.
