Course Introduction
Emerging markets, e.g. BRICS, play an important role in today’s economy. Firms (especially MNCs) should take the features and importance of emerging markets into account in designing and implementing their international business strategies. To deepen the understanding of emerging markets, this course is designed to explore the nature of emerging markets. It consists of three parts. Firstly, insights into emerging markets are introduced. Secondly, approaches and strategies for analyzing emerging markets are elaborated. Thirdly, a number of emerging markets are analyzed and presented. Upon completion of this course, students will have a good understanding of emerging markets.
