Course Introduction
"Postmodern Fiction and Film” is an M.A.-level graduate elective course designed to provide students with a basic understanding of postmodern fiction and film adaptations in English, particularly forms associated with metafiction, re-representation, and postmodern apocalypse. Class time will be spent on analysis of the assigned texts and films as well as discussions and presentations on specific elements of postmodern literary theory and how they may be used to interpret literary and cinematic works.
