The module aims at cultivating students with the skills to answer essay and problem questions and write legal dissertations in English in a correct and precise manner. This module will first give an overview of legal writing in English and read some examples of English materials. It will then explore the skills of thoughts framing, sentences phrasing and words choosing. This is followed by the introduction and discussion of different forms of legal writing, including essay and problem questions in exams, dissertations and other legal documents. Legal research methods and correct referencing will also be considered.
