Physical Chemistry (III)物理化學(三)
一、課程概述
教學目標: 瞭解各種化學反應機制的理論及實驗方法、影響反應速率的因素以及化學反應動態學。 The aim of this course is to present and develop the principles of Chemical Kinetics and Dynamics, including the theory and experiment in basic reactions and complex reaction mechanisms.

授課大綱:
1. Molecules in Motion: Molecular motion in gases and liquids; Diffusion.
2. Chemical kinetics I: The basic ideas Rate of reaction; Rate laws; Analysis of kinetic results; Experimental techniques; The Arrhenius equation; Potential energy surface and Reaction dynamics
3. Chemical kinetics II: Composite mechanisms Types of composite reactions; Steady-state treatment; Rate- determining steps; Kinetic isotope effects; Unimolecular reactions; Photochemical reactions; Free-radical reactions; Explosions; Enzyme and Acid-base catalysis; Heterogeneous catalysis.
