High Performance Scientific Computing高性能科學運算
一、課程概述
This course will cover the materials and foundations related to high performance computing (HPC). The materials include but not restricted to:

1. Introduction to partial differential equations.
2. Discretization methods for solving partial differential equations numerically, such as finite difference and finite element methods.
3. Solution techniques for large system of linear equations, such as direct methods (Gauss elimination) and basic (Jacobi iteration, Gauss-Seidel iteration) and advanced (conjugate gradient method) iterative methods.
4. HPC related software, such as large scale scientific computing programming languages, parallel library (MPI, OpenMP) and scientific computing library (BLAS, LAPACK) etc.
5. Learn how to use HPC platform (access to supercomputer, Linux operating system).
