In this course, you will experience writing through analyzing different kinds of texts, engaging in discussions with your peers and instructor, as well as revising your own drafts. Three types of essays will be introduced during this semester: cause-effect, argument and a research paper (problem-solution essay). You are expected to apply writing concepts and grammatical knowledge you have learned in previous semesters into the writing assignments in this course. In addition, you will write journals 3 times during the semester and post them on the Wix webpage. Training sessions will be provided in order to familiarize you how to use the Wix platform. The goal of this course is to prepare you to become an independent writer who can develop writing skills through practicing different types of genres, respond to feedback, proofread and improve your compositions.
